Electra Compliance carried out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at a rental property in Honiton to ensure the electrical installation met current safety standards. During the inspection, the property’s existing smoke alarms were found to be outdated and in need of replacement.
As part of the upgrade, three old smoke alarms were replaced with two new Aico 3024 Multi-Sensor Smoke Alarms and one Aico 3028 Heat & Carbon Monoxide Alarm. SmartLINK technology was installed throughout the system, allowing all alarm heads to communicate wirelessly with one another. This provided full interconnection without the need for additional wiring, making it an ideal solution where no existing interlink cabling was present.
The result was a modern, reliable fire detection system alongside a compliant electrical installation, helping to improve safety for tenants and meet landlord responsibilities.
